Remember the sexxxy piece of tech I was raving about last week? Yep, the Palm Pre is finally gonna be released Stateside on the Sprint network on June 6th (which is a Saturday... odd...). It'll be selling for $299, but if you sign up for a 2-yr contract you're eligible for $100 mail-in-rebate. Yay, way to make your customers work to save a hundred bucks. Ugh. Why don't they just SELL it for $199 straight up?!?(BTW,the rumorang says that the Pre costs $549 without a 2-yr contract...)
Not only can lucky (?) Yanks pick this up at their local Sprint store, they can also get the techtacular Pre at Best Buy, Radio Shack, as well as their local Wal-Marts.
No word on international release dates (Canada, yep, you're outta luck. AGAIN).
